i was induced today...just got the cervidil half an hour ago. so now i wait...
i know the pain is going to start in the next 2 hours. i'm not dilated or effaced at all. i just can't wait for the 2 hours to pass so i can eat lunch...i'm starving!!! and i can't wait for the epidural...i already requested the IV fluid to be started during my first contraction since it takes so darn long to drip in.
for those of you who are so worried that nurses are going to push you into things---the nurses have done nothing but ASK me what i want since i got here! from feeding the baby to food for me to preferences about other things, they've asked me everything which is exactly what they did with DS. i told them how i feel about things and they noted it in my notes. i know i'm in great hands!
i just hope this is a much speedier labor and delivery than DS's!

Good luck!! Are you home? Im getting induced next Tuesday if nothing happens and they told me once I have the cervidil I have to stay in the hospital!!

Easy labor vibes!!!
no i'm in the hospital! wifi is great! i have nothing else to do--already read 3 newspapers and made tons of phone calls!
once you get cervidil you have to stay in bed for 2 hours without eating or drinking. after that you can get up and move around and eat. it's actually nice to relax in the hospital--believe me, once you're here and get the ball rolling going home is the last thing on your mind! induction really isn't a bad thing! good luck to you!!
