what do you do for money if put on bed rest?- solution!!

kinda jumping the gun just in case. going back to high risk doc on thrus and worried he will keep me on bed rest ( at 15 weeks gah)
i dont think i can use disability bc i am pretty much off the books.. long story...but cant afford NOT to work.
if you ahve been through this or know anyone who has..please let me know some ideas. i can sit and work..just no long standing like at my current job.( again keeping fingers crossed) tia!!!

just figured out a solution! at home phone sex!!! no one can see my fat rear end and i dont have to exert myself! ( just pretend to)!!!

I am out of work since last week with 10 weeks to go. I am lucky that they are letting me work from home but if they decide to change their mind I would go out on disability. I have it through my company so I get 30 days of full pay and then 60% from there.

My maternity leave doesnt kick in until I actually have a baby in hand.

Honestly, you will have to go through NYS disability. I don't really see any other options. If you are off the books, you may be able to try SSD if you have a work history (Social Security Disability).

if I was to be put on bedrest prior to maternity leave I would have to use short term disability.

if I didn't have that as an option I would have to take from savings

Can your DH work extra hours to bring in extra money?

with an off the books jobs your very limited as to what you can get from the state/fed because they view it as you were living without an income before bedrest so why is it an issue now.. KWIM?

I'm not sure there is really anything you can do. I would look into any kind of state aid you might be able to get. See if there is anything. Next best bet is to have DH take a second job if he can. I know it won't be easy, but not sure what else you can do.

I was self employed when I was pg with dd and was put on bedrest so there was no collecting any disability or anything. I was lucky in the fact that we can live off of just dh salary but it hurt us, I was on bedrest for 7 weeks. I really not sure of anything you can apply for since you are off the books. Do you get paid on the books at all, or pay taxes maybe you can call disability and ask if there is any programs you can apply for.
