Curiousity Question-what reasons would an OB put a preggo on bed rest?

Just curious.

high blood pressure

I am on moderate bed rest. I was having a lot of bleeding. Everytime the bleeding would stop I would attempt to go back to work and start bleeding again. Finally dr. said no more!

My BF was put on bedrest at 28 wks b/c she kept going into early labor and even with meds they couldn't stop the contractions. As soon as she came off the bed rest around 37 wks her DS was born.

i was taken out of work (not full be rest) after i had bad cramping at 32 weeks....

I was put on bedrest for low amniotic fluid levels.

I was supposed to go out on bedrest from 32 weeks on b/c was not growing enough and they thought my placenta was bad, but it all worked out and I just eased back on work and it all worked out ok! We decided to go for weekly sonograms and tests to make sure all was well..

leg swelling...the dr. put me on rest for a few days b/c of my commute and the bad swelling that started in my feet and lower leg.

there's also High blood pressure, signs of early labor, back issues.

there's a whole boat load of reasons...
