Having c-section stapless taken out tomorrow! BTDT's: How much does it hurt??
I'm terrified!!!
Do they numb you before they take OUT the staples?? I can't imagine this being pleasant!
Will it hurt only during the removal of the staples, or after as well?

It didnt hurt at all!!!! They take a tweezer like tool & just pull them out...I felt nothing more than a small pinch! Don't worry!!

I didn't even feel it, she came in and was talking to me and did it while she was talking, had no idea till it was done and she told me. You're still numb there so it won't hurt.

I am such a wimp and I was expecting the worst...and I was shocked how it DIDN'T hurt at all!
I think the anticipation is worse than the actual experience!

They didn't remove them at the hospital? I had mine taken out and steri strips put on before I was discharged. It didn't hurt at all it just a little pinch, tickle.

I feel better!!!
It IS numb down there, but I FEEL the Staples when I move certain ways. When I look at them, they look like TEETH holding my stomach together.
Now that I know it shouldn't hurt, I can't WAIT for them to come out! Hopefully I can find a more comfortable sleep position without them in!!
And I know... they were SUPPOSED to take them out at the hospital, but for some reason, my doc chose to have me leave them in longer, so it will be done in his office tomorrow.

I didn't have them removed at the hospital with either DD, both were done a full week later at the Dr's office.
Didn't really hurt, well except for one twisted. That one hurt a bit but no more than a shot. It itched more than anything before they took out the staples.

I remember how they always felt like they were pulling when they were in, so I was so scared of getting them out.
It doesn't hurt AT ALL
You won't even know that they are being taken out.

You'll barely feel it & if you do feel a couple, it's nothing more than a pinch. I felt a little sore afterwards, but nothing that I even thought twice about. It was a breeze & I remember being scared too!

My first didnt hurt at all.. my 2nd and this one gave me a few little pinches but nothing crazy... I said a little ow ow ow and it was over :)
