Iimplantation Question

Me and my DH have been TTC on and off for a few months. Is it possible to get implantation bleeding on the expected day of your period??? I have a 28-30 day cycle and yesterday was cd 30. I had TERRIBLE painful cramps yesterday which I havent had in years and extremely crazy bloated. I usually bleed very heavy the first and second day and I'm not bleeding heavy at all. Very light and a combination of pink and brown (more pink though). But very light. So confusing. Is it possible to get implantation bleeding when your supposed to get AF???

No. If implantation bleeding happens, it is usually somewhere around CD6/CD7.

Re: Iimplantation Question

implantation bleedign is rare but if it does happen it is usually between 7-10 DPO. The closer you are to AF date the more likely it is AF...my guess is you cycle is just different this month.

Not true at all. With my first child I had implantation bleeding around the time I was expecting my period. It was light spotting and it happened once.

both doctors ive used in the last year have told me that implantation spotting never happens when AF should be arriving! that was more likely left over blood... not implantation!

Now that I made my announcement I can assure you that it is possible as it happened with my second pregnancy as well. I spotted during the time that I was supposed to get my period. It is possible that it was left over blood from when the implantation happened OR I just have late implanters.

you can get spotting left over from implantation even in the 4/5 week of preganncy.....while yes I guess you can consider it implantion bleeding it not spotting for the implantaion actually happenign at that point....it is just left over blood.

I swear with this one I felt implantation at 9 dpo. I had horrible cramps, they were so bad that I took baby aspirin. Then 12-13 dpo I had spotting. It was brown. When AF didn't show on 14/15dpo I tested and I was pregnant.

I had the same brown spotting right before AF was due with my first pregnancy but that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage.

I also had brown spotting a few days before and during the time AF was due the month I may have had a chemical. I tested positive on a digital but the beta was negative so I have no idea what happened. My period was late so I think something wacky must have happened and it just didn't stick.

I've never had brown spotting during any other cycles. So for me brown spotting always seems to mean something is up and it has always been a few days prior to AF being due.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Either my body/hormones are really messing with me or something is up bc this is really out of the ordinary. All day still very very light bleeding and more and more brown. I made an appt with my doc. If it's anything I'll keep you posted.

Re: Iimplantation Question

Yes, it happened to me. On the day I was expecting AF I had light spotting. I even took a HPT and it was negative. After 2 days of barely spotting I had nothing. I took another test a week later and got my BFP.

Wishing the same for you. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
