Anyone know about parking near RVC or Oceanside LIRR
I need to park at around 10am at either the Rockville Centre train station or by the Oceanside station. Anyone know if this is possible. TIA!

I believe you need a permit at all the LIRR lots in RVC.

You need a permit to park in Oceanside also. Most of the surrounding streets have no parking. You may have to park a little distance away and walk to the train. Forget RVC. Parking on the streets is impossible and you need a permit for the lots.

DH once chanced it a got not one but TWO tickets in one day!!! From the same guy!!!!

could you maybe go to Baldwin? Parking will be tough anywhere at that time but Baldwin has huge lots and some street parking also. I live in Oceanside but my whole life have used Baldwin's station almost all the time.

You could go to East Rockaway (one stop west of Oceanside.) There are a few spots that are metered parking. I think it's about $2 for the day.

East Rockaway has parking..I believe it's .25 an hour....usually plenty of spots in the lot now that they charge that. There is a 10:23 train.

trust me.. you'll have a hard time finding parking at Baldwin station at that time also. Yes, there are huge lots, and street parking, but they're all filled up.
Mainly because people from other towns come and park there all the time! (not blaming the poster above.. i know everyone does it)
I used to live in RVC, there's next to no chance of getting a parking spot at the LIRR there either - you need a resident permit for most spaces (and those are usually filled anyway)
Not sure about Oceanside. Sorry!

Thanks for all the help. I pretty much knew that there was no way I could do RVC, as I used to live there. But thought maybe things had changed 
We ended up getting a ride, but good to know about East Rockaway for the future
