Nursery Decorating Help!

I just moved and am starting to work on decorating the nursery. The room had carpet that we just ripped up and today we had the wood floors refinished. We had the floors stained to match the hallway, which is a little bit of a darker brown.

Heres a pic of the room:

I was planning on keeping the wall colors as they are, since our bedding is blue, brown and sage green.

But our furniture is espresso so now im not sure if it would be too dark. I am definitely keeping hte top half of the walls beige, but I am not sure about the bottom color- any ideas??

Here are pics of the bedding and furniture.

Re: Nursery Decorating Help!

what about that blue color in the bedding for the bottom?
i definetly think it will be too much brown with the furniture and floor, so def change the bottom color.

I think it totally works the way it is now!! I would just use the green color in the bedding to do accent pieces-curtains (shear panels), cream lamp with green shade, throw rug etc! Once you do that it will break up the browns! Very pretty!!!

Re: Nursery Decorating Help!

Did you paint the walls yourselves? Maybe look for the lighter shade of that color on the color wheel? I like the idea of blue too.

Can you believe we are so close?!?!? Hope moving went as smoothly as it could possibly go!

I don't think the bedding is that dark so I think you could get away with leaving what you have. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Nursery Decorating Help!

I think you can leave it as is! Maybe you can do a lighter color small area rug to lighten things up but as a whole I think the floor, bedding, walls go nicely together!

Btw- I have the same furniture love it!

I think it would be fine as is. The bedding should break it up. I personally love a rich dark color on the bottom. Worst case is you don't like it but I would try sticking with it first like you said.
