Longwood SD $7800 with star.
We are in Longwood too, our taxes were over $8000 when we bought in 04, we have grieved a couple of times and won. Now they are under $6000

The sad part is that when I bought my house in 1998 my taxes were just over $3,200 . No additions, no pool, nothing new. Grrrr

I live in bethpage in plainedge SD also we pay a little under 12k. There are no businesses in plainedge to offset the taxes. File a grievance, if you didn't already. I think the deadline is up for this year though.

My Mom (Miller Place Dist) pays over 12k.
Did not realize how EXPENSIVE it is to live on Long Island. Im afraid to move & leave my low taxes.. I would seriously go BROKE!

12,620 w/ out star plainview/ Old Bethpage SD. Low for the area bc previous owner was smart and grieved every single year !
we were bidding on a home in N. mass Plainedge district and the taxes were almost 14K w/ star. we decided look in another district bc the taxes were ridic high for a reason that no realtor could explain.

are you sure they are not part of other districts? like south of OCR is Bethpage and west of SOB Road is Hicksville. I don't know much about the area, but it could be deceiving.

Love Fred Perry, very sweet man. He grieved my taxes and I got a reduction of $1600.
