When does it get hard to lose the rest of the baby weight?

I'm almost three weeks post partum and I'm very happy to say I've lost 35 pounds!!!! I'm embarrassed to admit I gained 50 though

I've been breastfeeding and eating pretty much whenever I want since DD has been born. I was actually really shocked that I lost as much as I have so far.

When did it become difficult to lose the rest of the baby weight? Was it when you had a certain amount left to lose or was it after a certain amount of weeks? I can't wait for it to be nice outside so we can take a walk everyday for some exercise!

I too gained 50 lbs. I'm 10pp and I've only lost 25. This same 25 pounds that I still have, I've had since my 4 week pp visit so it's definitely not going away easily....

But they say it takes up to a year to fully lose the weight so we have time!

I heard if u havnt lost it by 1 year then its real hard to loss it... Ughh i better start on that i still have 30 to get back to what i was pp (i gained 60lbs) however i would like to lose 40-50

I gained 40 and lost 20 within 3 weeks. I have since only lost 5lbs. I need to lose15lbs to get back to pre pregnancy but I need to lose another 15lbs on top pf that for me to be really happy. I am almost 4 months pp and I am struggling with these 15lbs

I gained 33 and I'm 12 w PP and have 8 left to go. I go back to the gym starting Friday though so I'm hoping it comes off pretty fast once I'm back at the gym. I only BF a few weeks then pumped a few more but never got a milk supply so I don't know if that makes any difference.

I also gained 50lbs and lost TONS right away. Then, sadly, the last 20-25lbs just sat there. I ate tons because of BFing and never lost (or gained) an ounce. Once I started to nurse less and less, the pounds started to fall off without any changes. I am still up 10lbs at 17months PP, BUT I'm still nursing 2xs per day and STILL eating whatever I want. I have NOT exercised or dieted and lost 40lbs total.... I'm happy about how I look and fit in my clothes. Now if only the last 10 would go away magically on its own like the rest of the weight.... (I'm in denial)

I went back down to my pre-preg weight at 6m pp. at 12m pp, I gained 10 lbs -

I gained 50 lbs. I lost 41 pretty easily. I have been at the last 9lbs for a while now. But I am eating whatever I want since I am bfing

I lost 20 the first week and by my 6 weeks PP visit, I was down 35. I finally lost it all at 3.5pp and I gained 43lbs!

I was heavier than I wanted to be before I got preggo though so I still have a bunch more to lose. I'm hoping it continues to come off like the baby weight did. I've been eating like a PIG! BF has been great! LOL.

I gained 50+ with my first DS & lost all but 10 of it by the time he was 3 months old. I then got pregnant with DS#2 & gained 27lbs. Now 8 months PP, I am back down to what I was when I got pregnant with my second. I am doing WW now & not excercising due to the lack of time. I still have at least 20lbs to go to get back to what I truly want & I am finding these the hardest!

I gained around 55+ pounds and lost a couple pounds every month by EBF. No exercise and no dieting.

DD is now 10 months and I am down to the last 10-15 pounds. I will have to start going to the gym to drop these last few pounds.

I had DD 3.5 YRS ago .
Gained 35lbs, lost 30 in 2-3 weeks, it just came off. Never lost the "extra" 5LBs but it didn't/doesn't bother me bc I was underweight before I got pregnant and always wanted to gain at least 5 lbs so it worked out well for me
Interesting thing is that I was back to my pre pregnancy size within 2 months despite the extra 5 lbs , still confused about that one

I gained 40 lbs with DS. Lost 25 right away. Never lost the last 15, got pregnant with DD. Gained 20 lbs with her, lost that 20 lbs right away. Still have 15 lbs to lose from 2008

I am lazy, though, I eat well but don't exercise so it's my own fault

I lost 21 so far. I still have 40 plus some pre-pregnancy weight. My poundage just isn't coming off.

I can't wait till it's warm so I can walk with him.

i gained 40 and I think I lost 36. DS is 12 weeks.


eta: I havent dieted or exercised yet either. I pump alotttt of ounces a day so it must be because of that!

i am almost 5 weeks pp, and i still haven't weighed myself . My stomach is back to normal (minus the whole stretchmark thing), but my hips and thighs are the problem areas...I'm waiting until my 6 week appt to weigh myself!

i GAINED ALMOST 60 LOST 40 RIGHT AWAY AND STUCK WITH THIS EXTRA 20 NOW FOR MONTHS DS will be 5 months this friday and working leaving 6am coming home at 6pm i dont know how i am going to work it off , i am on ww i lost a couple of pounds but very frustrated I am bf and pumping since day 1

I would say the last 10lbs are stubborn. I gained 52lbs and dropped 40lbs in the first 3 months or so. I have been fighting ever since. DS turned 1 earlier this month, and though the day of his party I was right under my pre-preggo weight, I still go back abd forth about 2 lbs

i only gained 16 and lost 32 within 2 weeks

BUT, ive gained 8 back its a constant battle!

I gained 45lbs with DS. It took about a year to take that off, and then dropped another 20 lbs. But I still hate the way my body looks. I need to tone! Since then I have been slowly gaining weight.

With DD the first 25 pounds was easy, the last 15 pounds got hard and I was pregnant again without losing it.

With DS, I got stuck as around the same weight-I lost all of his weight and most of what I gained with DD (I had put some of it back on before I got pregnant with DS) and then got stuck at those same last 15 pounds.

I am pregnant again, so here we go!

I gained 37 with DS#1. I lost it all except I didn't lose the weight I gained while I was doing IF treatment. That was an additional 15. I lost it fast becuase of BF. Once I slowed down the weight slowly stopped going off. Needless to say I haven't lost that weight yet.
