carpet beetles

how do I get rid of them, they are in all my clothes and shoes. I vacuumed, washed as much clothing, towels, curtains, and linens as I could in hot water. How do I clean my shoes. These things are nasty

Are you sure they aren't bedbugs? They are supposedly rampant lately.

There is nothing you really can do with them. I have had them in every house that I lived in. They are attracted to wool. I believe they usually appear in two stages when they are in your home..one stage is when they have a hard coating, like a beatle. Another is when it's a soft coating, almost fuzzy. They do damage in the "Fuzzy" stage, eat through wool clothes etc.

As someone mentioned about bed bugs, they are two completely different looking bugs. If you go to google image and search carpet beetles you will see pictures.

An exterminator can use a spray to effectively get rid of them. There really isn't much you can do.. You can place glue traps in your closets on floor to catch them..but it is unlikely that it would be effective.

i have these too!!!! they are attractedto natural fiber my problem is in may-june the larvae developes into little beetles they are allo ver the place especially on the window sills/drapes i rippes down akll of my expensive silk drapes because they were feeing off it i vacuumed obsessively washed everything so we will see come may so far nothing going on (just yet) i heard they are almost impoosible to get rid of!
