PLS Recommend Orlando hotel

For a night WITHOUT kids.
For our 5th anniversary.

We'll probably have dinner at Pleasure Island - Emeril's restaurant or the Fulton Crabhouse.

TIA

Re: PLS Recommend Orlando hotel

Wow, lots of options here. If you're considering a Disney resort, I rather like the Epcot resorts as they offer more for adults to do after dark. I would think the Boardwalk Inn would be a good fit. You also have the Swan & Dolphin in that area. They are not Disney-owned, but their location would be perfect.

If you are thinking more of City Walk over at Universal, they have 3 very nice resorts also (Portofino would be my choice).

It all depends on what you want out of your stay and what your budget is.

Emeril's is at Universal City Walk - I would stay at the Portofino Resort. They are part of Universal Orlando.

Fulton Crabhouse is at Downtown Disney - I'd consider the Gaylord Palms. Il Mulino & Shulas at the Swan/Dolphin resort are supposed to be very good - both resorts are nice too.

I'm no help with the hotel, because we always stay at our timeshare, but I have eaten at both of those restaurants and I would highly suggest Emerils for an adult night out. We were just there in September and had an amazing dinner. Plus there is much better adult nightlife at City Walk if you want to grab a drink after dinner. My DH is going for a business trip in a few weeks and they'll be staying at Gaylord Palms and the website look really nice.
