Please help - Is my LP too short?

So TBAF arrived this morning. Actually I started spotting a little bit last night but woke up to a full flow . I'm a little worried because it seems that this was a shorter cycle than normal, and now I'm thinking maybe my LP is too short. Please help if you can and let me know if you think I should be concerned.


This past cycle

CBEFM gave me peak readings on:
Monday April 5th (CD 12)
Tuesday April 6th (CD 13)

AF arrived:
Sunday April 18th (CD 25)

2 Cycles Ago

CBEFM gave me peak readings on:
Thursday March 11th (CD 13)
Friday March 12th (CD 14)

AF arrived:
Thursday March 25th (CD 27)


The way I am looking at this is that this past month if I O'd on the 2nd peak day, then my LP was only 11 days and if I O'd on the first peak day, then it was 12.
However, the month before, it would be either 12 or 13 respectively. Isn't your LP supposed to be the same every month? I thought all this time I had at least a 13 day LP but I think I've been counting wrong.

From what I can see, your LP is about 11 days minimum. That's not bad. Anything under 10 *might* indicate an issue. Your LP is supposed to be the same each month, but a day's difference isn't a big deal. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Your cycle is VERY similar to mine. I always O around CD 12 or 13 (varies from month to month) and then AF shows up on CD 24 or CD 25. I usually have a 12 day LP but every once in awhile I have a 13 day LP. I was very concerned, bc I had such a short cycle (only 24 or 25 days) but all the research I did on here, the internet and speaking with my OB), a 12 day LP is normal. Anything under 12 days could mean some problems, but a LP defect is usually under 10 days. If you want to lengthen your LP, you can always take vitamin B6. Back in January my LP was only 11 days, with lots of help from the girls on this site, I began taking vitamin B6 and now my LP has not been shorter then 12 days. I dont think you have anything to worry about, but if you are concerned, you can always talk to your OB about it!

First, sorry about AF Second, I am not very familiar with the fertility monitor but if you are thinking your LP is 11-12 days, that is still considered normal. Do you take vitamins? My LP was similar to yours and as soon as I started prenatals, it increased to 13 days. Your LP can vary by a day and that is totally normal.

I do take pre natals but I think I'm going to add the B6 just to be on the safe side. After this next cycle, I have an appt with my OB/GYN for a regular exam. If I don't get my BFP next month , then I am going to ask for bloodwork to be done.
