When did your DC starting feeding themselves their own bottle
Believe me...
I am in nooo rush! I love feeding her, but I want to make sure it is normal that she has no desire to hold the bottle herself.

Mason is 9 months a refuses to hold his own bottle. He'll start out holding it then quickly pull his arms away.

DS is almost 5 months and is starting to hold the bottle. i can let go for a second and he can keep a grip but then he drops it. hes mostly holding it too close to the nipple so he cant balance it yet.

DD is 9 months old and she doesn't hold her own bottle either. She can, and she has, but she'd much rather have me hold it. I don't mind yet. lol

DS started at 7 months where I could put him inthe stroller or highchair and just hand him his bottle.
But my friends DD is 12 months and still not holding her bottle. Some babies just refuse!
My DS is fiercely independent and I joke that he is slowly trying to cut us out of his life so he can do EVERYTHING himself!@

Ann *can* hold it but doesn't tip it up so she can drink (same with the sippy).

DD can and will but not when she's downright hungry. It's more like when she's had about 4-5 oz and just wants to play with it and take a sip here and there.
She's 9 months.

DD is 7 months. Shes held it for brief periods but, nothing consistent. Every time she holds it she ends up dropping it down about 15 seconds later

Never! None of my three kids ever held their bottles. They were all on bottles til 12 months. I use to feed the twins their bottles at the same time as they sat in their rockers.

kj is 6 months today and he has been holding his own bottle for about 2 weeks
I still hold him while he eats though  unless I am rushing to get somewhere, then I will pop him in his bouncy seat and let him eat

Never.
She's almost 3, and sometimes likes to pretend she's a baby....and she still makes me hold the bottle for her then! 
I never minded though....I loved those times together.

just recently - and she's just over 9 months. she's held the bottle a LOT but now - if she's hungry, she'll just take the thing, if i'm being too slow...etc.

NEVER. we knew he knew how to but he didnt see why he should when he could have mommy do it for him? we just went to sippies at his first bday and made him hold those from the beginning.

abby still wont hold her own bottle BUT if i give her a bottle with handles on it.. she will hold it and suck it dry!

The first time DD was actually willing to hold the bottle she was 11 months old. She just wasn't interested in doing it when Mommy was perfectly capable of doing it for her.

NEVER!!!
Once in blue moon she will hold her bottle. She knows how to do it, but just refuses to.
I'll hand her the bottle, she will put it in her mouth, take it out, hand it back to me and open her mouth waiting for me to put it back in.
DD is 13 months!

DD is 9 months and can "hold" the bottle since about 6 months... however, she only hold it to drink for about less than a minute and just wants to take it and play with the nipple. Hence, why we feed her still...lol
