so much for my induction
I went to the hospital this morning and they hooked me up to the monitors. I was having very small inconsistent contractions and I was not any further dilated or effaced since Monday- still 1-2cm and only 50% effaced. So it was decided that today was not the day for an induction. I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, I'm a bit relieved. Now this little one has a chance to come out on his own. On the flip side, I am disappointed. I really was hoping for an end to all of this. But now I'm back to waiting. If I don't go on my own before then, I will see the Dr. again on Monday and we'll see if I have progressed.

Is there a reason why they were going to induce you in the first place? or was it your request?
I am still clueless about the inducing thing, bc I feel like as long as I am not REALLY late, this baby should come out when its ready.

I am still clueless about the inducing thing, bc I feel like as long as I am not REALLY late, this baby should come out when its ready.
I had asked my Dr at Monday's appointment when she did inductions and she said Wednesdays. I assumed she meant next Wednesday, which would be 4 days past my due date. But she said I should come in this morning, just to see if I had progressed enough. In general she feels I am a good candidate for induction since I had a successful one with my DS- I was induced that time 5 days after my due date due to low fluid levels.

Okay that is what I thought!
I am sorry, I couldn't imagine how frustrating that is! I hope your LO comes soon!!!
