ARG!!! (long vent)
So AF showed up yesterday
This whole thing has just been really beyond frustrating. However, I think that I have been charting incorrectly. I have been having spotting mid cycle for about five days at a time and my ob/gyn had told me that I should consider them AF, even though they weren't "normal" Yesterday after AF showed up I added it to my chart and realized that if I changed those mid cycle times to spotting then I am having a 47-49 day cycle. I think that is what is going on. That makes a lot more sense rather than having AF every 2-3 weeks.
So I feel good about realizing that. But I am ****** at myself for not temping sooner, because I would have known what is actually going on. I am ****** at my ob/gyn. I am ****** at all the time that has been wasted. I don't know if I should be worried about the long cycle length. I don't know if there is something wrong or if there is testing that I should be getting done but my ob/gyn sucks and isn't doing.
I went out and bought some OPK's to start using this month. I don't know when I should start using them. I am hoping that by temping and using the OPK's I will be able to figure out what is going on and be able to give us a real shot at getting pregnant
I just want to be pregnant so badly! I know I am whining and apologize for my little pity party but this b*tch AF is making me cranky! ARGGGGGGGGGGG!
Okay, I'm done. If you made it this far, thanks for reading. Baby dust for all!

Re: ARG!!! (long vent)
No, see I think that's ridiculous that your OB dismissed the spotting as your period...WTH? You could have a cyst or something on your ovary that's causing the mid-cycle bleeding at the point when you're ovulating. Even if it WAS your period, having them come every 2-3 weeks is definitely not normal and should have raised an alarm to your OB...I think. Of course, I'm no doctor. And don't beat YOURSELF up!
That's good that you're going for the OPKs. You could also go on your own to see an RE. Even though I was told by my doctor to seek additional assistance with TTC, I was able to do it on my own without a referral, etc.
Hang in there!!

She did send me for a sono to check for cysts - but when nothing came up she said not to worry about it, that it was probably just a lighter flow period. I have to see if our insurance covers an RE. I don't feel like we need one yet, but I should check just to know.
Thanks for responding!
