I am so upset..............
...............I really thought this might be the month. It would've been perfect. The kids would've been exactly 2 years apart. I had 4 eggs and an IUI. I just figured.........."how can I NOT get pregnant this month???". And then I wake up this morning to POAS and I am bleeding.  So I guess I was wrong and this wasn't my month.
Usually I just roll with it when this happens and move on to the next month but I am so upset this time around. It was so easy when I got pregnant with my DD. One egg, one IUI and VOILA!!...........baby! It's just annoying. I hate having to go through all this again. The RE visits, the sonos, the blood, the waiting and waiting and waiting for my follies to mature. It's just so trying.
Anyway, sorry to ramble on because I know so many of you are going through the same thing or have gone through the same thing but I just want my pity party today. I'm just sad.  Stupid AF!!! Stupid, stupid AF!!! The ONLY positive (if there is one) is that my LP was 2 days longer this cycle than the last so I guess that's good news. Other than that, this all suck$!!!

i'm so sorry  i have a literal pity party for myself each month that i don't get my BFP and this "party" i have usually includes the couch, warm pjs and lots of chocolate! this process is so sucky and hard sometimes! i hope next month is your month!

I'm no stranger to the post-AF pity party. It usually involves lots of wine. I'm praying that this cycle will be it for you!

I'm so sorry hon- its the worst feeling when you are convinced that you are pregnant and get AF- its a huge let down.
Its ok to be upset- let yourself have that time to grieve

Can I ask what exactly is an IUI?
IUI is intrauterine insemination. Basically, DH leaves a "sample". They clean it (so to speak) to separate the sperm from the seminal fluid and to also get rid of all the "bad" sperm. The sample is them placed up into your cervix via a small catheter. It's a quick and painless 5 min. procedure.
I am in such a cr@ppy mood and to make it worse I feel like stupid AF is messing with my head. Usually when I get my period once it starts, it starts. Full on bleeding. So today at 6am when I woke up there was a decent amount of blood. Since then the flow hasn't picked up at all, in fact it seems to have stalled and I would say the blood is more on the brownish side then red side. I don't know..........I could be looking into this too much and grasping at straws to hold out hope. I just don't want to believe I am at square one AGAIN!!
I have an appt. with the RE for CD3 blood and sono if this is in fact AF and then it's back to Clomid, monitoring, waiting, and IUI. SO annoying I just want to cry!!

It is covered by my insurance but of course it all depends on what insurance you have. If it's not covered it's usually around $350 for the IUI. I go to Reproductive Specialists of NY (Stony Brook office) and see Dr. San Roman. I think he is wonderful and the staff at the office is great! They also have offices in Mineola and Islip. Here is their website:

I don't want to get my hopes up but I guess *technically* it may be something related to it. I don't know. My mom said she bled a lot the whole first trimester so I guess you never know. So far the most blood was at 6am this morning. It would seem to have tapered off and when I do see anything on the pad or when I wipe (sorry for the TMI) it's more pinkish/sometimes brownish then a pure red like I normally get. Also, typically once my period starts the flow keeps getting heavier......not the case at all today. If this bleeding subsides or doesn't increase at all I will POAS tomorrow just in case. I have an appt. with the RE scheduled too so if the bleeding goes away they can always do a beta and let me know for sure if I am pregnant.
