Today's Oprah
Did anyone watch? It was about women who were unknowingly infected with HIV from their boyfriend (the same man).
A major point of the show was you and your partner need to be tested for STD's (including HIV) BEFORE you toss out the condoms.
Now that we are all TTC- have you and DH ever been tested?
To answer my own question, we haven't

I get tested every single year and have since I started seeing the GYN. My ex co-worker's sister got HIV from her HUSBAND of 10+ years after he supposedly had a 1 night stand. She ended up developing AIDS much quicker. It was horrible.
As for DH and I, I asked him to get tested and show me the results before we ever had sex. And I did the same. And we still used condoms anyway. I know not everybody thinks or feels that way, but seriously - the "cleanest," "healthiest" looking person could be very sick and not know it.
Better to know and feel at ease than always wonder.

Yes we have. My friend got HPV from her DH who had a 1 time affair. She ultimately developed cancer and had to have a histerectamy. So needless to say, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I was tested twice when I was pregnant with DD. Hospital wanted to know before I delivered. It was scary, but I am glad I did it.

Each time you get pg, you get tested, so i've been tested 3 times.

I can't even with this post!!! I think I would kill my husband if I got cancer or HIV after he cheated on me. Isn't it miserable enough that he cheated, and now these women have to be reminded everyday of what their husband did
