TV in front of window?
Anyone have their TV in front of a window?? Our living room dosn't have a whole lot of wall space (it's open to the dining room and kitchen). We have 2 full walls in the living room and there are windows on each of them. SO we are having a dilemma as to where to put our TV. I was wondering If it would be silly to put the tv (flat screen). On a nice TV stand in front of the window (which is in the center of the wall). On either side of the TV we would prob put up a nice display shelf. We would keep the curtains closed while watching the TV. There is a lot of other light in that room (due to the openess into the other rooms, which also have lots of windows).
Is there some sort of rule against this? Anyone have pics of a similar setup? Please give me your advice! TIA!

Re: TV in front of window?
Not sure that would work....if we did that then the couches would have to be somewhat in the middle of the room which would take away from the open feel of it.....i am so stumped on this!

Re: TV in front of window?
If oyu have a flat screen, Id double check the owners manual. They shouldnt be exposed to direct sun light. Ours was (i found this out after I called samsung and then read the manual). It seriously f'ed up our TV.

Re: TV in front of window?
I'd think you would need to keep the blinds/curtains closed all the time due to the sun on the tv and when you want to watch it, staring at the tv into the sun I would think would hurt the eyes.

Re: TV in front of window?
I have mine on a corner tv stand in my tv room, with the left side in front of a window and the right side against a wall. We have very little wall space in the room and we had to work with what we had. I think your situation would probably be fine.
