Pricing on catholic schooling?
Anyone know how much the cost of schooling is? OLPH - St. John the baptist? Doesn't need to be exact. My husband want's to still look at a not-so-great schooling area but in the better part of the neighborhood if we can't find anything affordable in our "top" area.

Re: Pricing on catholic schooling?
Catholic schools usually have the tuition on their websites:
The 2008-09 tuition fee is $7375---- which includes lab fees, guidance fees, testing fees, and a school ID card. An additional class fee is collected at the beginning of every school year.
Tuition payments are collected monthly using the F.A.C.T.S. Tuition Payment Sys-tem. Tuition may also be paid in full.

just keep in mind - your SD will pay for transportation as long as it's within ~15 miles.

Re: Pricing on catholic schooling?
It's around 4300.. It depends on the school. If you have more than one child, some schools give a multiple child discount

Re: Pricing on catholic schooling?
My oldest will start at Catholic School in September. We are paying more than $4500 per year for just one. When my DD goes, it will cost about $8K a year for the two of them.

Double, at least!
$4400 for my DS ,he is in 6th grade. Tack on another grand for misc fee's & church envelope fees, fundraising, etc. Since my children are 10 yrs apart..I'll never get the multiple child reduced rate.

Re: Pricing on catholic schooling?
It is about 4k for elementary school and about $8k for high school. Most schools will give a 10% discount if you pay in full, there are also discounts for multiple kids.

Re: Pricing on catholic schooling?
I know the catholic school by us has a parishoner discount.. but of course, you need to go to church and give weekly (or almost weekly)

We got a whopping 2% off for paying it in full. Yes, it helps, but I was hoping for more than 2%!!

yes, there is 2 different pricing structures. It cost $1400 more if you are not in the parish, or do not support the parish by contributing each week in the Church Envelopes. You need to contribute $600/yr to get the cheaper rate, so in essence, you are only saving $800 a year vs. those not in the parish or not supporting.
