cold medicine and breastfeeding?
Is it ok to take cold meds while bfing? The ped said any over the counter meds are fine, but I never specifically asked about cold meds. I am miserable and would love some relief!

I think it depends on what you need in your cold meds, i.e. pain relieve, decongestant, etc... I had a terrible cold a few weeks ago, and I just suffered through it since I couldn't really find any meds that seemed to be approved and work with my symptoms. I think the site kellymom.com has a rundown of what's safe to take.

I just went to the MD a few weeks ago for a cold/flu type thing. He had me call my ped to get the OK for an antibiotic and specifically said no sudafed.
