I was just wondering...what kind of vitamins does everyone take?
I take Centrum along with extra folic acid and calcium. Should I be taking a prenatal while TTC?

I take centrum too, my ob told me to just start witha multi and then I can switch over when I'm pregnant

I take a b-6 complex and folic acid...once I get my BFP, I will add a prenatal to the mix, my OB seems to think that I do not need the prenatals now as I take the folic acid which is most important

i have many, many, many stomach issues (every vitamin i've EVER taken in my life has caused naseau)...BUT - i take Target Prenatals (a friend of mine with several of the same stomach issues swore by them)..
I take them with dinner every night, so they aren't going into an 'empty' stomach...
In addition, I take 2 folic acid pills and a DHA supplement (recently added this, due to the fact that i don't like fish).
Dave took a one a day vitamin for men and a folic acid supplement as well (it aids in reducing birth defects in older men, dave is 5 years older than me).

As long as you're getting enough folic acid and other vitamins, I don't think you specifically need a prenatal.
If it makes you feel better though, just ask your doctor if the vitamins you are taking have enough of everything..

I would switch our your regular vitamin and just start taking the prenatals. It's got everything else you could need and give you the extra stuff you need to prepare your body for a strong pregnancy.
I take the OTC CVS ones-I took them when I was pregnant with DD and have kept them as my regular vitamin every since, with the DRs blessing.

I switch back and forth between prenatals and centrum for women.
You're getting the folic acid, so you are fine.

I take a separate folic acid and I am currently taking CVS brand prenatals and DHA. Once those are done, my friend gave me all natural prenatals.
I would ask your OB, but you should be fine with what you are taking.
