Cheese question...

I know we're supposed to avoid soft cheeses like brie, etc... but I had a piece of muenster cheese the other day and then I though... oh, no... is this a cheese I'm supposed to avoid?

thanks... Okay, I wasn't sure b/c I thought it was considered semi-soft. Like mozerella. Which I know that's ok.

me too

eta-- most cheese in the US is pasteurized-- only if the cheese is imported, or made on a small farm or something would it not be.

Re: Cheese question...

I consider Muenster hard, like American cheese. At least the one I get...hmmm?

Re: Cheese question...

You should avoid unpasteurized cheese. Muenster is fine. It all depends on what you're comfortable with, but I eat soft cheeses that are pasteurized like feta.

Re: Cheese question...

read my no shame post and you will see two cheeses you are 'not supposed to have'

add to that
brie
provolone
feta
fresh mozzarella (costco sells the pasteurized version)
