who to call to find out when garbage pick up is?
DH and i just moved, we are in seaford now... who should we call? TOH sanitation? or is there a website? i HAT navigating the nassau county websites... TIA!!

Here is the Town of Hempstead sanitation website. It will either be Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday. Plus, they do leave/grass collection on Wednesdays.

You might also want to check with the public library.
We were able to get a calendar with the garbage pickups and what kind (regular, paper, plastics, leaves, etc), as well as the recycling stickers for the garbage pails from our library.

Not sure about Hempstead but in the town of oyster bay we get a year calendar. It's on my fridge. It tells you about sanitation days (even during Holidays), town meetings, etc... I use to trash it but now use it all the time.
