Am I thinking Correctly?
I purchased and am using the CBE Digital O Tests.
I started testing wednesday with no and again this morning, nothing.
is it wrong to test every 3rd day (Test again on Tuesday)??
My thinking is that since it predicts o for 24-36 hrs in advance, then I wont be o'ing for the next two days.
Thoughts? Thanks!
ps- So confusing! The only thing that makes sense is the Non-smiley face that i see on the stick!

You really should test everyday. I get my the day before I O. Some women have a surge that lasts 36 hours, but for some women, like me, it's 24 hours or even less.

Re: Am I thinking Correctly?
I would test every day. A 2-3 day window is huge, and it's likely that you will miss your "o" day.

I agree with PP. I would test everyday. I only get one day, so if I tested every other day, I wouldn't know which day it was. HTH!

every day? The tests are way too expensive for that. Can you recommend something else besides the digitals?
Thanks!

are your cycles regular?
If so, the date that the instructions tell you to test should make it so that you only need 1 box per cycle. If your cycles are less regular, you may need to pick up another box too.
What CD did you start testing? How long are your cycles?

Re: Am I thinking Correctly?
I would use every day starting 24-48 hrs days after AF ends. Use the chart inside and mymonthlycycles.com to help narrow down the window so you're not using more than a box a month (7 sticks).
For example, if your cycle is anywhere from 26-31 days long, start testing on CD7 or CD8.
HTH.

I like to use regular OPKs (the strips, not midstream) which I purchase from babyhopes.com-- they are much more economical- I think it's like $17.00 for 25. Once they start to look positive, I also use a digital to confirm my LH surge.
I don't use the whole box if the digitals each cycle-- maybe half.
Testing every 3 days may cause you to miss your surge. You need to do it every day-- sometimes twice a day.

Re: Am I thinking Correctly?
Ok that sounds more reasonable- buy the ones from baby hopes.. How long do they take to get here?? I wonder if i Have time to order them for this month.
to answer another question, my cycles are STARTING to regulate, but havent gotten there yet. I have high hopes!!!
last question, is it very difficult to read the opk's that are not digital?

Def, do NOT wait every 3 days... I def think the digital ones are so much easier b/c the non digitals I think can leave some room for error thinking that the line is darker, but its really not.
Why don't you do this... Use the non digital ones until you see the darker line and you think you are O'ing, then using the same urine (if you do it in a cup) then use the digital one to see if it is accurate.
Good Luck!

they don't take long-- they ship first class mail and it's free. You can choose priority I think to get them faster.
The regular ones have a control line, then the test line gets darker as you get closer to your surge. Once the test line is as dark, or darker than the control line-- you are experiencing your surge.
Once the regular OPKs look positive, I would use the digital to see what result that gives you. Sometimes the regular ones look positive, but the digital came up negative. Either way-- if it looks positive, you are still getting close-- so, if you just used those-- you'd be ok. I like the digital ones because I can pinpoint O day with them-- and know when I can test.
I would POAS like crazy with the baby hopes ones to make sure I caught my surge-- 2x a day, starting early and ending only after I saw my surge. Even if you go through a lot at the beginning, you will start to learn your body and get a sense of when you will O-- so you won't need as many since you can narrow down the timeframe.

Re: Am I thinking Correctly?
thanks.. I went and ordered them on line.. In the meantime, bought the Answer ones at Walgreens.. Did one last night, the line was lighter than the Control line, so i'll test again tomorrow.
