Those who switched to Gentlease.

Did you find that it worked...even a little? I made the switch today and was told to wait about 4-5 days to see if there's a change. My poor baby passes gas all day/night long...stinky man farts too!! He just screams and screams while doing so...it's hearbreaking. I'm hoping this helps.

Is that Enfamil? I switched to Similiac Sensitive (was told by my ped. it's the same exact thing just different brands) and it worked (meaning not as bad with the gas, however she is still gassy and has witching hours). hence the Gripewater thread.Chat Icon

we noticed a difference mainly with DS not spitting up as much. He also appeared to not be as uncomfortable with gas on it, so we decided to stay with gentlease b/c i figured if he's OK on it and it is suppose to gentler to the tummy, i might as well not switch around. and now at 9 months he has no issues and still is doing fine on it. Good luckChat Icon

Re: Those who switched to Gentlease.

we switched to Good Start due to gas issues. It took about 3-5 days to really notice a difference. My dr had said to give it 1 week to see how it goes.

Initially we didnt like the Gentlease b/c it's lighter and he seemed more hungry...but when we switched and added the rice to it (due to his reflux) we saw a tremendous difference almost right away...

Looking back the Gentease helped right away the first time too..as far as the gas was concerned..but we really couldnt tell b/c he was so hungry..

ETA: Walmart makes there own brand of the Gentlease and DS easily swtches between the 2. It's almost half the price of the name brand.

Re: Those who switched to Gentlease.

Yup..We switched Mikey to it (due to constipation) and it definitely took a few days to get things moving along Chat Icon But he still had horrible gas! I tried Mylicon drops and Gripe water and nothing helped! I just switched his bottles (3 days ago) and he's been SOOOO much better, the gas is completely gone! I definitely think it was the combination of the gentlease and new bottles that worked for him.

I was told to chose one of these...I heard about Gentlease more so I bought that.

Ugh...I hope he doesn't get hungrier with it. Thanks for the Walmart tip.

Re: Those who switched to Gentlease.

we just switched to Gentlease and DD seems to be doing better gas wise though agree that she also seems hungrier but our doctor told us she can eat up to 6 ounces every 4 hours so we will try that and if not add some cereal to make it more filling
