Bad news...
So I finally got a hold of my dr. this morning so she could go over the blood tests she ran on me on Monday. Turns out that I have PCOS. I am absolutely beside myself. It took all I had not to fall apart at work. She called in a prescription for clomid to start on my next cycle. I am just so confused b/c I did get pg twice but both ended in a m/c and before my second m/c my cycles seemed normal. For the last 6 months they have been irregular, but I was still getting a +opk and high temps?!?! Sorry for rambling on, but no one knows that my DH and I are having trouble ttc and I have no one to talk to...

Re: Bad news...
oh honey I am sorry. I know that this seems like an awful thing to say, but at least now you know what's going on with your body, and you can take measures to help you get pg and stay pg......... You are in my thoughts and in my prayers always.
And that's what we are here for, to support each other, even when we don't know each other IRL, and be there when no one else can.
all the baby dust in the world to you and your DH.

Re: Bad news...
You can have normal cycles with PCOS, you don't even need to have symptoms. It is possible your m/c's were caused by PCOS so now that you will get treatment-you will probably conceive and carry a healthy baby. Good luck!

Re: Bad news...
Rather than being discouraged- see this as a good thing. You have a diagnosis that can be worked with. MANY women have babies after a diagnosis of PCOS.

Re: Bad news...
Wow I can understand your feelings. But like others have said now with treatment you have a better chance of not having another m/c. I am sorry that is happening to you. I don't know much about PCOS so I can't offer you any advice. Is Clomid the main treatment? Or is there more to it? I hope this works for you.

Don't give up hope. PCOS is very treatable. I have PCOS and I have a 6 weeks old little boy. Metformin worked for me. It had me o'ing my third month on it. good luck

Re: Bad news...
I am so sorry that you were told you have PCOS but like everyone else said, be happy to know what is going on with your body. Clomid is not the end of the world & I can tell you this, one of my good friends had PCOS & the first month on Clomid conceived her twins who are going to be 2 in July!!!!!
Keep your chin up & hopefully you are on your way to a baby

Re: Bad news...
Sos orry to hear the news, but it doesn't mean you can't get PG, you just may have a bit of difficulty.
I strongly believe knowledge is power, so now that you know what is going on with your body, you and your Dr. can take the proper steps towards a healthy PG, good luck
