displaying collections?

if you collect anything, how do you have it displayed? do you have them grouped together or do you have them scattered throughout your house?

Re: displaying collections?

I am a Lady and the Tramp fanatic.

My nicer pieces (lennox and such) are displayed in a corner curio cabinet.

All of the other items (cds, stuffed animals etc) are packed away. I hope one day I will have a daughter and we will decorate the nursery with everything I have collected over the years.

Re: displaying collections?

I collect martini glasses...we put shelves high up in the kitchen and they are on the shelves and cabinet tops.

I used to collect Snowbabies, but sold a lot of them and only display them at Christmas and not every Christmas.

Re: displaying collections?

I used to collect anything & everything Goofy..............

Over the years (and probably due to space restrictions beingin an apartment) I downsized my collection.

Currently, I have about 14 collectable type pieces (lenox, swarovski, pewter statues ect.) in the glass enclosed spaces in our entertainment center.

Also in the bedroom, on the bottom shelf of a bookcase, I have about 2 dozen beanie baby size differnt Goofys.

SO grouped together would be my answer.

Re: displaying collections?

I have several dozen pewter dragons and wizards (and one kitten playing with a crystal ball of string.... Chat Icon My aunt doesn't get the concept.... "But it's pewter!".... yeah, but I like *dragons* and *wizards*.... anywho....) I have a setup in the center section of our entertainment center. I put several different size boxes in there for a variety of height, then covered the boxes with a black fabric. All of the figures are then visible, since they all have their own "stadium seating" spot.

Re: displaying collections?

I used to collect Barbies, but I drastically reduced my collection around the holidays (to save on space and made a lot of money). The ones I still have are on a shelf in my closet.

DH collects metal models. He has them on book shelves throughout the house - some in glass cases.

Re: displaying collections?

I cut off my collections at 3 or 5- depending on the size, and display them grouped together.
ie- vintage fans, enamelware, tiki masks.

I'm sure you're referring to the ball gag.
