The Basics...
I cant figure it out...do I count my cycle from the first day of last months period to the first day of this months period....? The total amt of days is my cyle...then when is ovulation.... very confused?

You're right about the cycle but eveyone's ovulation is different. You can figure it out with OPK's or CM. I think the norm is 14 - 18 days after your first CD.

i would sign up at www.fertilityfriend.com that explains it all! Plus you can chart things there too. I havent started taking my temp but I like to chart my CM and when we BD....

I would buy the book "taking charge of you fertility" it explains everything you need to know about your cycle. i would also start taking your temp. first thing in the morning, before getting out of bed same time every day, using a basal therm.

Cycle Day(CD) 1 is the first day of bleeding. Not spotting but flow. If you want to know when you ovulate you can start using an ovulation predictor kit around CD 10 or 11. Keep testing until you see two lines the same color. Once you see that have sex that day and the next 3 days. You can temp also but that will take you a few months to see your pattern. GL
