Hither Hills Campground

Any tips? We are going soon! Do they rent umbrellas there and do they have a snack bar? Is the beach near the campground lifeguarded?

Hither Hills Campground

I only go preseason but there is food. No clue about umbrella cause we have our own. The entire campground has a beach but life guards are only at the center part.

Are you staying a whole week?

I've never stayed but I have visited people who have, they seem to bring everything with them. There is like a commissary. I'm not sure I'd call it a snack bar.

I don't think they rent umbrellas, but if you don't bring, you can buy in town.

We are not staying for an entire week (albeit we are booked for a week since that's the min.), I don't think we will even last a few days LOL. My kids have been asking to tent camp (we camp in cabins a lot), but this is REALLY roughing it with no electric at all and having to rely on a cooler! I will probably just buy an umbrella here, I was trying to avoid having to pack anything in my car that is already going to require the kids sit on the roof

Alli, how were the ticks when you went? Also, do they allow boogie boards at the beach?
