Do you attend your local civic association meetings?
Or are you a member of a civic? Just curious. I am on the board of mine.

Do you attend your local civic association meetings?
I was the president for 8 years :) retired 2 yrs ago. Also, chaired the community council, and sat on other boards. Since stepping down I have not attended. Its important for all residents to attend, stay connected and take part in all decision.
not sure how to answer, not at this time, but use to attend not just mine but others in the area

i think it's awesome you were so involved. did you stop going from burn out? just curious. i can see how that happens

We moved to our town last summer and joined the local board. We are super involved and have made awesome connections through it!

Burn out, time consuming. Did a lot, was responsible for 1500-1800 homes, contacted with local oil companies for oil consortium saved my residents a lot money. Negotiating each year was stressful lol, I would have to go in front of the oil companies CEO, VP to start the process. I always worried if the final contract was good enough, but every year more and more people joined it. Problem, when I stepped down no one wants the title of President. They wanted me to continue
