Anyone attend La Leche League meetings?
Just wanted to know what to expect...I have my first one on Wednesday.

I don't go to LLL meetings but I do go to a BFing support group. I really enjoy going. In fact, I go now even though I really don't need any help, but I go to give advice to the newer mommies!

I go to the same group - It's so wonderful and I've met so many wonderful mommies there!

I went to one a few years ago in Freeport, it wasn't what I expected. I went to get some support when my son wouldn't BF (I was on LI visiting my parents) they weren't militant at all about breastfeeding, they were very supportive and nice. There were women with babies, older women who were part of the charity and they were from all walks of life. They don't have the same skills as Lactation Consultants, but it was enjoyable. I think the topic on the day was something like "how to do it all" and we discussed things we could do to make our lives easier.
