Swimming lessons ?
DD is starting swimming lessons soon. I've ordered a towel and tote and need to get swim diapers and bathing suits. They provide a cap.
Is there anything else that might be useful to bring? A cover up? Water shoes? All they really told me about when I signed her up were the diapers.

Re: Swimming lessons ?
Check with the place. Some don't allow water shoes & some do but in limited areas. We have towel, swim cap, bathing suit & goggles for swim class. Our kids are out of diapers, but places have different rules on those. Most places require 2 layers (disposable swim diaper and plastic cover). You don't really have time for the whole cover up thing & it's another thing to wash.

Re: Swimming lessons ?
Cover up is a waste bc she will pretty much go from the changing room to the pool and pool straight to changing room when done. If she will be walking water shoes or Sandles that are easy to flip on and off would be good bc locker room floors gross me out, but if you don't think she will keep on something easy to take on and off just carry her or pay no attention to my personal insecurities lol

Swimming lessons ?
my son's out of diapers- but i would say probably a plastic swim diaper cover, if you don't have one already. i know my place requires it. cover up would be kind of a waste, since like somebody else said, you go right from the pool to the locker room/ bathroom. maybe make sure she has some clothes that are easy to slip on and off over her bathing suit ( like i always make sure my son wears his jogger pants or sweatpants instead of jeans). ALSO maybe get a hooded towel. that can kind of be a cover-up/ curtain if you need to change her back into her dry clothes next to the pool instead of in the bathroom (the bathrooms can get crowded depending on the how big the place is...) my son is 6, and we still use the hooded towel at the side of the pool instead of going into the bathroom after his lesson. LOL he puts it on, and it hangs low enough to cover certain areas while he changes HAHA
