Anybody do swimming lessons through the town or HS programs?
I cannot afford a safety swim kind of place. But through Sachem HS, they have swimming lessons.
Has anybody done them through the town or HSs?

When i was young i did it through the high school..i was probablhy 7 or so, and learned alot

I just enrolled Marron in the town program at Centereach Pool. It doesn't start until Monday so I can't say how it is but it was $60 for a 2-week session. It is 30 minutes per a day, Mon-Fri. If she likes it I'll sign her up for additional sessions.

yea, I read it in the newsletter with all the activities they have. When I go home, I'll try and find it. It was cheap too!!!

yea, I read it in the newsletter with all the activities they have. When I go home, I'll try and find it. It was cheap too!!!

I can't remember. I just popped on their website and it says 5 and up, but I thought I read something different. Maybe it was through the town of Islip.

I cant speak of the sachem program. But I did teach in the Lindenhurst Tow/HS for about 5+ years. Its a great program, they run it by the red cross standards and test accordingly as well.
They generally dont take kids under 4 because its usually a group lesson situation.
