Party hosting question

If you're hosting a party at a venue, how would you keep out those who didn't rsvp? Or those who rsvp no and then change their mind?

Is hiring security the only way?

Re: Party hosting question

Do you mean at a catering hall?

If it's a formal event with a seating chart, they won't have a seat so they won't have a meal.

Are you worried about conflict?

What is your concern exactly?

Party hosting question

I had people who sent in no RSVPs show up at my wedding. The venue worked some behind the scenes magic and fit them in.

I figure if you originally invited them, you would want them there, so I'd be inclined to accommodate them.

I would always try to accommodate. I think the people that rsvp yes & don't show are worse lol. Unless this isn't a family event where you need to be on the guest list to enter. Then I would hire someone to be at the door & as people arrive, check that they're on the list.

not sure, I would think it depends where the event is. If at a restaurant perhaps the hostess can work off a list before she sends people to your room. The same might be possible at a catering hall.

Re: Party hosting question

I would just find a reasonable way to accommodate them; I don't want to create drama when I'm trying to enjoy myself.

Don't give them details on where the party is being held until after you get an RSVP of "yes." Just say what city/town it's in and details will be given later.
