There is a woman on the Lindenhurst Moms FB page that has posted a few times that she runs an in home daycare. Not 100% sure if she is licensed but i think she is, A few of her past families raved about her. I'll see if i can find it.
ETA: i looked and cant find it. But if you post on the lindenhurst moms group that you're looking for an in home daycare you may get some local recommendations.
I am on there too! I have seen that as well, I will post there. Thanks!

What about au pair ? Cheaper than a nanny and can also help with cooking and cleaning etc. also. I like sitter city way better than care.com. I have a wondeful part time nanny there. You can do a full background check , talk to references etc. I only needed part time but I spoke to several people who sounded great but were looking for full time only. My nanny plays with her non stop, takes her out for walks, wears her etc. you have to look but it can be found. Also, in home cameras are a god send. We have the nest and love it. You can see what's going on from you phone every minute.
