Hi Everyone,

I do not have children just yet, but I love my new niece and I am here for her. Her parents are from Port Washington. Maya is only two months old and in need of brain surgery. She was born with Hemimegalencephaly, a severe and rare form of epilepsy, causing multiple seizures a day that could lead to death if untreated. Medications aren't helping, so surgery is her only option. Her parents need help affording this expensive procedure, the travel that goes along with it, and the therapy to follow. Mighty Maya's Go Fund Me page has gained so much support already, but she is far from her goal and she needs your support now. I'm so sorry to hear of this. I hope she's ok. There was a story on this on dateline for medical marijuanna. There is even a special kind, called Charlotte's web, that was developed for this little girl with the same illness. It has all of the medicinal effects but none of the high effects.
