This is not a surprise to me, as a family who, as the article says, has slipped from middle class to the working poor. It's happening all around us, to tons of families that we know. There is a smaller and smaller middle class. If you know your history you know that the larger the gap between the rich and poor (and this IS happening due to the disapearance of a middle class) the more likely to cause a revolution. Karl Marx DID have a point.
Just sayin'.

I completely believe it. There are so many people who would say it doesn't exist and that these people didn't work hard enough or invest enough or budget enough and so somehow this is their fault. It is really sad. Taking care of our own benefits EVERYONE, not just the poor.
