Switching diapers when changing sizes?

I absolutely love Luvs brand diapers and both the newborn size and size 1 fit DD great. She recently switched to size 2 and they just don't fit right -- they seem so incredibly narrow and getting them on her is a major PITA. Anyone else find that they had to jump diaper brands for different sizes? Looks like it's Swaddlers here I come......

I would buy a small pack of another brand and see how it goes. When DS was about 6 months I switched from swaddlers to target diapers but started with a small pack just in case I hated them.

Thanks! Yes, I know the Swaddlers fit much better because that's what my mom has at her house! When she goes to size 3's, I'm hoping to go back to Luvs since they are so much cheaper, but I'll buy a small pack to test them out before I commit to the big box at BJ's!

You may want to switch right up to Luvs size 3, I feel like there was something weird about size 2's, my kids weren't in them very long at all and size 3's for a REALLY long time. I bet size 3 Luvs are cheaper than size 2 Pampers

Same here. My dd wasn't in them long. 3's were way longer

DD has been in 3's forever! She's just now starting to get into 4's. She's 16m and I think we switched to 3's around 8 months.

Re: Switching diapers when changing sizes?

Did you ever consider trying the BJ's brand or Costco brand?

I love them and love the fit. I have tried both.

I tend to go with Costco only because that's where I am a member and it's closer to me.

Switching diapers when changing sizes?

We just made the switch from pampers to the bj's brand, and we are loving them. We actually still use the pampers at home, but daycare goes through them so fast, that we sent him in with the bj's brand and all has been great. I like the pampers still for now for over night because he sleeps about 10-12 hours each night, and I don't wake him to change him.

Yes! Totally the same thing!

BJ's and Costco do not make the overnight or nighttime diapers --- at least that I have seen --- so I use them normally and then at night I just buy one package of the nighttime diapers (usually pampers) and that will last him the 12+ hours he sleeps no matter what happens! And he pees A TON. It's so great!

I would definitely try the BJ's brand but I hate to buy a massive box of them only to find out that I don't like them. Wish there were "trial" sized items. If the box is opened, will they allow you to return them with receipt?

Re: Switching diapers when changing sizes?

Maybe try the next size up. I almost completely skipped pampers size 3 because for some reason, she just kept having blow-outs.

If you want to try the Costco, which I love too, you can return them if you don't like them, even if the box is opened. They will take it back no questions asked.
