Toddler hit by falling bricks
Sorry for the sad post, but I am so unbelievably heartbroken about this story. I live in the area, and also have a 2 y/o, so I cannot even begin to imagine the pain and suffering this poor family is going through. It was such a random, freak accident with such a tragic ending. I'll definitely be squeezing DD a little tighter tonight.

OMG I saw this on the news this morning and they had said the baby was doing well and upgraded to stable condition.
Oh how horrible.
This story is making me sick actually.

I saw it in the news yesterday and saw the very sad updates today. I immediately cried. I can't even imagine and let my kind go there. My dd is almost 23 months. My heart breaks for them.

My dd is two. My heart breaks for for that grandma. My mom would lay down in traffic if that were her. When I think of situations like this I don't know how I would be able to go on. What are the changes of something like that? Why couldn't it have fallen 6inches to the side. It's such a sad tragic story. She is such a beautiful little love.

She actually passed away today. I cannot imagine. It is stories like this that make me want to keep my whole family inside a bubble. It reminds me of the little baby girl who died at the Central Park Zoo when the tree branch fell on her and her mother. Why does this happen??????

I just saw this on the news. This is the kind of story that really makes you question your faith (if you have one). How did that happen? At that moment? At that exact spot? Why? What an incredible tragedy for that family.

This story breaks my heart.
As a grandmother myself, I don't know how I would go on from this. Makes me cry just thinking about it

so sad. my mom's second cousin was killed in a similar fashion - a brick façade fell on him while he was walking with his mom in the city - this was back in the 90's.
