help me w Teething
my son is teething and lately the only way to get him to sleep is to give him a dose of Tylenol. We've tried various teething toys, ice, wash clothes, which help him stop crying temp but unfortunately he'll only SLEEP if we break out the drugs.
I'm not too happy about this. Is it safe to keep giving Tylenol and/or Motrin night after night? Any other options out there?
i am afraid to have his body immune to these meds. I am highly against Orajel and the necklace

I don't like giving DD Tylenol so we use hylands teething tablets since they're supposed to be more natural. We also use the necklace and find that we only have to give the tablet just a couple of times a week.

I say do what works.
If my kid is in pain and nothing works give the meds. I've given a few nights in a row. The pain usually subsides with in a few days. I try not give it during the day but if it's bad then I will. I also usually don't remember to give it every few hours so I know we skip doses here and there.
Teething is rough and at night it's usually worse.

I've definitely given it multiple nights in a row. I do what works and what makes my baby feel the best. My DD was cutting her 4 molars this summer at once and she got ibuprofen many nights to help her sleep.

I would speak to your pediatrician. If you are against the amber necklaces only, they have anklets. Put socks over them and there you go. If it's amber in general you are against, maybe gripe water or teething tablets

I used Hylands Teething Tablets and was never sure if they worked. Ibuprofen did work to help my guy sleep the nights his teeth were really bothering him. I gave multiple nights in a row to ease his suffering. It would be the only dose I gave all day and my ped said as long as it wasn't for like weeks it was fine. I never had to give more then 3 nights in a row. It was great to see him well rested in the morning vs miserable from pain and bad sleep. I preferred Ibuprofen over Tylenol because it lasts longer and is better (I heard) for swelling/inflammation type pain.

Hylands helped my DS during the day, but did nothing for him at night. I do have the necklace for him, but I know you're against it. I've done motrin on nights when he's really in pain and it's helped somewhat.

Immune to pain meds? I've never heard of that. I remember feeling a little guilty for giving DD meds for teething and DH put me in my place "why would you let her suffer if there is something out there that would relieve the pain???"
I remember how awful my wisdom teeth felt coming in and now I give motrin or Tylenol generously to my kids when they're teething.
