Timing for bday party
Which time would you prefer for a Sunday bday party at a place? Around noon or around 4pm?

Definitely noon. I wouldn't want to have to run to a party at 4 on a Sunday. By then we are winding down, relaxing, and getting ready to start another week. Plus it kind of kills the day in general, earlier is always better IMO.
FTR, I would go at 4 but I'd grumble about it.

Depends on the age of the kids... DD is 3.5 and still naps so a noon party wouldn't be very good. 4:00 on a Sunday isn't the best time in the world (as we wind down from the weekend) but I'd have to pick that over noon. Ideally, on Sundays, the 10:00-12:00 parties are excellent.. but that's not what you asked

Thanks! So if I do the noon-ish party, then pizza wont be served until 1 or 1:15. Is that ok for lunch time? I guess people would eat a little snack before coming to the party?
Its my first time having a party at a place, sorry for all the questions lol.

I say 4. I'm not a fan of middle of the day parties myself, since it kills the entire day.

i'm doing DD party to start at 4, then when the kids eat its closer to dinner time. its a late afternoon/end of day so all the kids will be done with the naps etc.
thats what works for me-and i know tons of kids that eat lunch at diff times btwn 12-1 etc and nap so I like how all that is out of the way.

Wouldn't complain about either time. Birthday invites are sent at least a few weeks in advance so I plan accordingly. If we're available that date then we go and if I have errands to run I go before or after or the day before.
If I had to pick a time then I say noon since I usually have Sunday dinners with my family.
If I know DS will be having a late lunch then I'll just give him a snack before we leave. Oatmeal, yogurt, cheese and crackers and fruit, etc. This way it will hold him over till 1 - 1:30ish when it's time to eat. We never have an exact "lunch time" on the weekends since we are in and out all day. Just weekdays bc they eat before school.

My DD is usually still napping at noon (she takes a morning nap), so I prefer 4, although I'd like it better on a Saturday than Sunday.
FTR, we are having DD's 2nd birthday from 4:30-6 on a Saturday. The other option was 2-3:30, and I didn't like that it was naptime for a lot of kids and not a real meal time.
If we did have a party at noon on Saturday, I would just rearrange DD's schedule for the day as best as I could.

noon. i would push my kid's nap back 'til after the party when he would be tired from playing.
i like to be home around dinnertime on sundays to relax with the family and get ready for school...
unless it's vacation break and kids are off anyway.
