Reusing and Recycling

Does anyone have any good tips for reusing and/or recycling old baby stuff into new useful stuff? For example, using old empty diaper wipe containers for sorting small toys or putting in fabric cloth and letting our LO's pull that out as a game. Another example is using old puffs containers- cutting a hole in the slot and letting LO's put poker chips in there. I know some people reuse old baby clothes by making them into baby blankets and teddy bears. I've used the cardboard boxes the diapers come in for mailing gifts and as extra thick protection under other items for crafts. I just have a lot of stuff and was wondering if there was some way I could reuse or recycle it. Please post ideas here!

Reusing and Recycling

I did something similar to the puffs idea but I use the tops of pouches instead of poker chips. DD loves it but I do keep a close eye on her and always put it away when afterwards. It's nice to have something to pull out once in a while to distract her. I also bought some pom poms at the dollar store and plan to do something similar with those. I would do the wipe case idea but I always buy the refills so I don't have extra boxes.

I do give DD empty cardboard boxes and she loves to climb in and out and put her toys in and out. We've done the cardboard box playhouse with a giant box which she loved too.

I was thinking of trying to see if I could clean out an empty yogurt pouch for her to play with since she was trying to feed her Elmo today and getting yogurt on them. We'll see how clean I can get it though.

There's a ton of ideas on pinterest for this kind of thing but so far I've only tried a few of the easiest one.

I took the old puffs containers and a ball and made it into a bowling game. Cloth diapers are great cleaning cloths.
