Good Diaper Rash Remedy?
My dd is 13 months. She has never had a diaper rash ever. I literally have tons and tons of desitin etc. around the house because we have never had to use it. She developed a slight diaper rash about 2 weeks ago, then it got really bad, and now its gotten little better but desitin isn't helping. Ive tried both kinds of Desitin. ANy remedies ? She hasn't really had any new foods to cause an allergy and I haven't changed diaper or wipes brands, nor changed any soaps etc... If it keeps up a few more days Ill have to bring her in to the ped, but trying to heal it at home first! TIA

Good Diaper Rash Remedy?
DD has only had diaper rash once and while it wasn't that bad, the desitin and butt paste didn't help. The ped recommended triple paste and that finally cleared it up.

Good Diaper Rash Remedy?
It's probably a yeast rash. Get lotramin ( althletes foot creAm) apply 3 times a day.

This. My older daughter would get yeast rashes and this worked wonders

Same here! DS developed a rash when he was about a week old and Triple Paste cleared it right up.

We just had to use this on one of my boys and ITA, it helped pretty quickly.
Our ped said only 2x a day so I would check with yours before using.
They also said to use it for 2 weeks to make sure it has cleared up completely.

If its yeast, mix 25-30 drops Grapefruit Seed Extract with like 1 -1.5 cups water in a spray bottle and spray at each change. Don't wipe for pee pee only diapers. It's miraculous.

Re: Good Diaper Rash Remedy?
My dd is sensitive to anything with zinc oxide in it (including triple paste which is supposed to be the miracle cure for babies with sensitive skin - ha!). I find that A&D ointment works best for us when she is red. otherwise, we use aquaphor during every single diaper change.

Re: Good Diaper Rash Remedy?
DS had a bad diaper rash and here's what worked for us...
Stop using wipes for a few days. Instead use warm water and a soft cloth or paper towels.
After each time you wash, use a soft cloth or tissue to dry the area. You never want to leave the area damp.
Apply a thick layer of the diaper cream of your choice. I prefered desitin max b/ it has the highest level of zink oxide, but we also used triple paste. Try another cream if the one you're using doesn't make a change in the first 24 hours. All babies skin is different so the same cream won't work on every child.
Now here's the secret....cortisone 10! Use it twice a day before you put on the diaper cream. Layer the cortisone followed by the desitin (or whatever cream). we'd put it on first thing when DS woke up and right before we put him down for the night.
You should see improvement in a day or 2 and it should be completely gone within a week or less, depending on how bad it was.

We use this and but paste! We have found that if it is yeast related or not the spray is very soothing for both twins. We also use the sensitive wipes (only for poop). When they have a rash
Desatin has caused them more discomfort at times only the but paste doesn't sting/Hurt my girls. We also swear by the grapefruit seed extract spray
