Coxsackie blisters

While on vacation, DS came down with hand, foot and mouth disease (coxsackie)



He is starting to feel better, but must have
200 blisters I know it can take up to 10 days for them to go away, but any suggestions on how to ease the pain? Other than just Motrin, which we have been doing?

I'm sorry, I don't have an answer but this brought tears to my eyes so sending you for your little one.

OMG Your poor baby. My son was just diagnosed with it today, but dr said they are just in the back of his throat. I am praying that he doesnt get them anywhere else.

Call your pediatrician. I remember giving the girls a mix of Benadryl and stuff for acid reflux(white) mix that they spit out. Like mouth wash. It was suppose to cool the blisters. I am not sure the age of your kid. But I would put it on with q tip sometimes. It seemed to help. I also use Motrin and Tylenol. One of my girls wouldn't take it so we got suppositories. It was awful. But call your Ped about the mouth wash mix. It did help them

Thanks DS is 16 months and really only has one or two in his mouth. It is the ones on his hands and feet that are bad, especially since he still crawls.

I've heard of so many babies getting this over the past few weeks!

When my nephew had it our ped gave him this purple spray that numbed them...it lasted a couple hours so at least he could eat and what not

Ice pops and tylenol. My DD had it last year,took about 1+ weeks to feel better

Our ped told us that infant Advil would help a little, but DD only had the blisters in her throat. She was feeling better in about a week.

I'm so sorry your poor little boy is going through this.
