Did you add water to whole milk when switching?
DD is going to be 11 months next week I have one more can of powder forumla and then I will be switching her to whole milk. When I switched DS who is now 3 at the time he drank whole milk straight no problem but was very consitpated for 1-2 weeks. It was very painful for him and I had to give him prune juice. I want to avoid this with DD. Someone suggested I add water to the milk for a little bit to avoid constipation. Did anyone one do this? If so how many oz's?

I did not add water.
When i switched DS we went cold turkey and he had issues. Found out he is lactose sensitive.
If you are concerned I would slowly transition to the milk. SO mix the formula with milk so slowly it would be all milk. there tends to be less issues (if you are going to even have issues) that way.

Actually thats what I did with DS I mixed formula and milk together. When I stopped mixing it is when the constipation started. I guess I will try it straight and see how it goes.

No, I didn't. But I did mix half milk, half formula and slowly removed the formula altogether.

I did.....because DS has always been chubby. He gets half milk, half water. Even now, at 2 yrs old - we switched to 2% milk, and I still cut it with water.

Took a week and mixed it with formula until she was at 100% whole milk..
One year later moved her to 2%
