if your newborn naps in the swing...
are they swaddled or unswaddled?

Most of the time DD was swaddled in the swing with a blanket. Once she started to move around a lot I would put her in unswaddled. But I would say for the fist 2-3 months she was swaddled.

When he was really tiny I could keep him swaddled and still buckle him in. But when he was in the swing, I found he didn't need to be swaddled to sleep well. Now he goes into the swing unswaddled with a blanket wrapped around him.

I used to put DD in the swing unswaddled, with a blanket over her.
