Sick 3 yr who won't take meds!

DS is 3.5 and has a history of eating issues. Throwing up food when he was a baby and going to see feeding therapists to finally getting him off baby food at 2. He pretty much eats a few of the same types of foods and is very picky, but he's doing sooo much better.

He's so stubborn to try new things. Bribery doesn't work and food does nothing for him. You can put cookies, chips, icecream, etc in front of him and he will ask for oatmeal or a circlie cracker (Ritz).
So, today he wakes up sick. I tried to hide some motrin in his oatmeal, but bc he's flemy he's not too hungry and didn't finish it.
He's been lounging all day watching tv on the couch and I've been keeping an eye on him. He's been ok and the ear thermometer says 100 so I was just kept him comfy. Just went in his room and he's warmer. 102 now
I will take him to the Ped tomorrow, but fear trying to give him meds. How do you give a stubborn, pick eater meds?!

Sorry but I hold them down Luckily my kids are pretty good about taking meds but every now & then they'll put up a fight. I just use the syringe and go to the back corner cheek and give 1/2 swallow & then the next 1/2. I'll have a little juice or water in a cup ready to give them to calm down.

When DS wouldn't take meds I gave him feverall in suppository form.

Does he like applesauce? I do 2 spoonfuls and squirt 1/2 dose in each. DS is a pain in the butt with meds. But he likes food.

DD used to refuse her antibiotics so we had to get her the shot many a time!

You know my son..The only thing he takes willingly is grape flavored Tylenol... He will not take antibiotics. I have tried it all. Holding him down and squirting it in there ends badly... He will choke and then throw it up. I have heard that chocolate syrup works. But not for him. Have you tried\chewable tylenol. They make it for 2 and over. Grape juice masks the taste of grape flavored tylenol and claritin. I give him an ounce or two in an open cup and he drinks it right down. The next time he needs an antibiotic, I am going to have to get it in needle form! IT is a combo of the taste and texture of meds that kill him. I have done the Feverall suppositories and they work pretty good..
He will now take tylenol by himself in a little medicine cup or a syringe..
