tummy time on floor vs boppy?
Dhs coworker who is an OT said tummy time on the boppy isnt as effective than on the floor. But at two months old, my twins dont lift their head while on the floor but they do on the boppy. We will keep trying obviously. What do you think about this?

What about a bed? I feel like this was a happy medium for a few weeks when the floor was too difficult for DS and boppy was just helping too much

Yeah my dr said he wanted her to do it on the floor too and not the boppy. She hated it!!!

I read that tummy time should start by 2-3 months or when baby lifts their head. Personally for two month old twins I wouldn't push floor tummy time. Give it another month with the boppy.

My Pediatrician was nutty about tummy time. He said it had to be a hard surface. We always put DS on a blanket on the floor. We would just lay next to him.

I agree... Not on boppy... Yes my DD hated it at first, but I would lay with her... b/c it is SOOOOOO IMPORTANT for them to build their strength...

I do it on her activity mat in the floor but she absolutely hates it. I think I get like 3 min at a time...

we never really used the boppy for tummy time. always did it on the playmat either on the floor or the bed.

DD hates tummy time! I always start with just the floor on a mat or blanket and when she's had enough I put her on the boppy. I figure it gets a little more time!

The boppy is doing part of the work. I just put mine in the crib for some tummy time and one wasnt having it so I put the mini boppy thing under her that came with the activity mat. You can use a towel too. Its smaller than a boppy so they still have to work. I know she was working because she was still complaining a little.

The ped said right away. I used to lean back and hold them on my belly on their bellies after feeding as newborns. They would just lift their heads a little then. I didnt start putting them on the floor until like 2 mo. Now at almost 4 mo they still hate it so I try putting them on their bellies on the changing table or crib whenever I can to strengthen so then can tollerate it more.
