Weight gain when you stop BF?
My daughter has been ebf and after her birthday I plan to start weaning her. I'm not in any sort of rush but do look forward to not having to pump! Outside of missing out on all that cuddle time I'm worried about gaining weight after I slow down/stop. Did you really have to adjust your eating habits after weaning? I have loved not having to worry much about my eating habits.

I think it is really individual. I actually lost weight when I finally fully stopped bf DD at 14 months.

Weight gain when you stop BF?
Yup! I gained when I stopped BFing after 6 months. 5 pounds crept on immediately! I swear I was 10 pounds thinner when I first have birth than now. I started to watch what I eat now so hopefully I can lose it. Good luck!

I am 2 weeks post weaning. I gained a few lbs at the beginning but adjusted my diet and I am doing OK. I don't expect to loose anything additional since I am at pre pregnancy weight...It would be nice though!!

I gained a few lbs. But I was happy to put on a little weight. While bf I lost too much weight and at one point had trouble keeping weight on (weird problem to have), so I was happy to gain a few lbs back!

I gained a few lbs. I was eating like crazy when I was bfing because I was always starving. I just needed to adjust my eating habits and then I stopped gaining.

im in the process of weaning and I NEED to adjust what i am eating. Not the amount, but the items. no more mayo and cheese on those sandwiches, back to lower calorie bread, etc

BFing got me down to my high school weight (about 5lbs lower than usual, I'm short so 5lbs is a big difference.) Oh m&m habit, how I will miss you!

Ditto for me too.
DS is 13 months and I just stopped pumping. I'm losing weight now as well. Sadly, feeding kept the pounds on!

Me too! With DD1 the weight melted off while BFing. This time around I am so upset bc I still have a lil belly that just won't budge. I guess I was just expecting the same type of weight loss. Ah well...once I'm not pumping on my lunch break I can start going to the gym again!
