Help, why did i stop losing weight
Hi - i had my baby three weeks ago and the first 17lbs came off fast, but for the last 2 weeks my weight has not changed at all and i'm still 13 lbs heavier than normal. I'm pumping so i can't totally limit calorie intake, but i'm not eating any junk - why is this weight sitcking?

I think for some of us it has to do with your body adjusting back to it's normal state...
I lost ALL of my pregnancy weight pretty quick. But I had put on weight before I got pregnant due to poor eating habits. I went back to my healthy habits and should have been losing weight but it wouldnt budge. No matter what I did.
Now that he is almost 10 months I have FINALLY started losing some weight.

Well, a ot of what is left may be fat or water. The fat will take some time. Don't feel bad, I'm still not there 6 mos. pp.
And as a pp said, it takes time for your body to adjust.

I too gained about 30lbs with pg. Only 12lbs came off immediately. I was nursing so didn't limit calories but watched wha tI ate and ate VERY healthy. NOTHING came off. Finally at 3 mos pp - mind you I had not changed anything - I suddenly started losing more of the weight and got to about 5-7lbs from pp weight. Then I stopped again. Now at almost 10 mos pp I am almost completely done with BF - pumping now only once a day - and more of the weight is coming off - I am exercising more too now so that is making a difference.
I don't know anyone who had this experience. Everyone else who "tried" their weight came off immed especially with bf - not me!

For me, I have lost all but 5lb at almost 5months PP....but its been a slow go these last few pounds, I have been working on these last 10lbs for a while now.......I know its tough, I really hated the way I looked for a while, but I keep reminding myself, 9months on, 9months off.....you will get there!

Sorry, for me the last 15 lbs were hard. I gained 50, lost 35 in the blink of an eye, then stayed for awhile then lost an add'l 5. Now 6 months later 10lbs is still left over!

give yourself a break , it's only been 3 weeks! I had gained 40 lbs and lost the first 20 pretty quickly but then hit a plateau for a while. Now at 6 weeks PP I'm down another 5 or so. It'll come off! I bet you look great  !

I will tell you something you probably don't want to hear. I lost the first 12 really easily right after birth, then I lost another 7 about two weeks after- then nothing for a LONG time. My doc said that many BF women hold onto the weight until they stopped. This is what happened with me.

I had my daughter in the beginning of April. I lost 20 within one week and then exercised and dieted like a lunatic. Nothing came off for 6 weeks!!! Honestly! I was flabbergasted and so depressed. Finally, just these past few weeks after sticking with it an additional 16 came off! Don't worry- it will happen!

I think that happened to me. I lost all my baby weight immediately and then gained some back and it stayed. I think I heard somewhere that the body stores 10-15 lbs for milk production.

Ugh - that was me - I think the body just holds onto it for a while, unfortunately - it took me a week to lose 20, and then a YEAR to lose the last 20!!!

I also lost the first 25 really easy. I hit a plateau and at 11 weeks started to loose again. I still have 14 to go!

i gained 40 lbs with DS and lost 30 of it within the first 4-5 months. At around 6 months i plateaued, could not lose the last 10 lbs, then when DS was around 10 months i started losing again! So weird as i really wasnt doing anything different (i think b/c he was so active which made me more active) and now DS is almost a year and i have like 4 lbs left. It will come off it just takes time though

I'm 3 months PP today and have lost 47lbs - but only about 10 in the last 2 months. I think you hit a certain point and you don't shed it as fast. You're doing awesome - I wouldn't worry about it!
